2010 SunDance Summer Dance Camp Description and FAQ’s
Ages 4-14 years old.  Age appropriate fundamental dance skills including jumps, leaps, turns and
dance routines will be presented in a safe environment.

What does my child wear?
Your child should wear comfortable clothing.  Most children wear t-shirts, tank tops, dance pants or
knit shorts.  No sandals please!  Jazz shoes, ballet slippers or bare feet are welcomed during the
jazz class portion of the morning. Tennis shoes are best for the hip hop portion of the morning.

Can I stay and watch and can I take the class too?
You are more than welcome to observe your child during the camp. However, some children do
better if they are dropped off.  You may feel comfortable staying for a few minutes to make sure
your child feels comfortable. Remember that there will be performances every Friday at 11:30 am
so that you may see what your child has been learning throughout the session.

If you are super brave, take the class with your
child, have fun and learn along with them. It is a great bonding experience and it makes practicing
at home all the more FUN!!

Will the dances be different every session?
YES!!!  Every week we will teach the children a new jazz and hip hop routine. The music and the
movements will be age appropriate. You may sign up for as many sessions as you like and each
one will be different!
